Hi All,

Has anybody ever been to this site? I found a link to their website http://www.carnebeach.com/index.html . They have a photos section on the website but most of the photos are of people on the beach sunning themselves. Any review would be great,
Alan

that park is full of statics. the parking for caravans and Motorhomes is on grass at the far end of the site.
The park is right on a sandy beach it has a Pub and a takeaway and shop in summer.
We go there for the odd Pint Hic Hic. but we stay in St. Margarets Caravan Park.15 minutes walk along the beach, might take a bit longer to get back.
So the answer to your question is we never stayed in that Park and we will not stay there in the future.
The place gets packed.

Thanks for that Aido. Just by chance I found a link to their website and it seemed like a good site. As we are living in Carlow it would have been handy to get to. That sounds good a pub 15 mins away from St Margarets Beach... Think I might need a life jacket for the way back though!!

Alan.

Right won't be going there so. Its always good to have a good bit of space between vans in a caravan park. So that your neighbours dont get offended at night time.......when your reading or something! haha

Thanks Devil woman.

Went for a spin down to Carne yesterday. First impressions from the turn off from the main road were that the roads were a bit windy in parts and the surface was not great. So be careful while driving on them.

If anyone is staying in this area, the beach is top class. I think this beach is one of the nicest/cleanest beaches I have ever been on. There was a good few people on the beach, swimming and surfing. The weather was excellent down there for a while. Didn't venture into any of the Caravan Parks. But from the outside view St Margarets and Carne Caravan Pk looked very busy.

Hi Alancw

Just spotted this site. I have a mobile in Carne and there is plenty of space between the mobiles, enough space to park 4 cars. The pub on the site is great and the beach is beautiful. They also have wireless internet on the site. I know its a bit late in the year but well worth a visit, the pub is open every weekend till October

Carne Park is full of Mobilehomes.
The parking for Caravans and Motorhomes is at the back of the park on grass no hard stands anywhere.
Very few people use this site for parking Caravans or Motorhomes.
The WiFi on site is the same as St. Margarets €4 for 24 hours use.
