Nice scenic quiet site. Showers included in price. Sounds good but they were certainly not the cleanest. This wouldn't stop me using it again. I would just shower in our unit. Pub on site. Doesn't do good. Bit of a hike into town with no pavements or street lights.

**Glengarriff camping and caravan park review.**

Home and settled in after our camping trip. First things first, this isn't a negative review as I enjoyed the park immensely, just a review that others with kids might learn from.

The site itself is listed as being a 1km walk from glengarriff village, it isn't. It's over 2kms on a dodgy road. Not really a walk to be doing with kids and a buggy. Taxis are non existent so if you plan on going for dinner and a few drinks one of you will need to drive. The site itself is well equipped facility wise, wash room, toilets, showers etc.
The playground towards the front isn't really a playground, its swings and a see saw. The playground at the back is a huge climbing frame. It's quite challenging for the smaller kids so its definitely over 5 year olds.

The site has a bar/restaurant onsite which is a nice bonus. The food is reasonable enough too, kiddies meals 7 quid, adults 14/15.

On pitches. When you enter the site on your immediate left is a big camping spot. This seems to be where the families set up. This also seems to be the quietest section if you have smallies. We were right under the bar/restaurant. Advantages are just that, nice and close, but this is also the disadvantage. This is also right next to the road that other campers use to get down to the back of the site so again not ideal for kiddies. The first night there was just a trad session with no pa sound equipment. It also finished at 12 ish. To be fair we were in the bar that night so I dont know how noisy it would have sounded from our tent. The next night the music and singing went on until about 3am. My kids are deep sleepers so it didnt bother them but I could see it being an issue for others.

One other sidenote. There is a stream that runs alongside the site. We had heavy rain during our stay and this stream turned into a full flowing river that would definitely be dangerous.

Price for a Eurohike 6 man tent plus power 40 Per night.
Showers are free.
You buy tokens for the dryers but I didn't get the prices.
Kitchen has a toaster and a microwave.

Would I stay there again? 100%
